This is a draw game usually played between 2 or 6 players. The objective is to make the best 5 card high hand. There is a single opportunity to replace cards.
The blinds are posted by the players to the left of the dealer. Each player is dealt 5 cards face down. There is an initial round of betting starting with the player to the left of the big blind. After this betting round is complete, each player gets the opportunity to replace any or all of their cards. The discard round starts with the player to the left of the dealer and goes clockwise around the table. There is now a betting round between all the player remaining at the table starting with the player to the left of the dealer. Finally hands are shown down starting with the left of the dealer and the best 5 card high hand wins the pot.
5 Card Draw is played with either a fixed limit or pot limit structure. It is played with blinds and no antes. See the section on Betting Limits for more information on betting limits.
