Sit and gos (SNGs) are like tournaments with 2 important differences. They are limited to a fixed amount of players. They start when the player limit is reached, unlike tournaments which start as a specific time. Otherwise Sit and gos play out in a similar fashion to tournaments. Players get an equal number of chips to start with. There are no rebuys or re-entries allowed in a sit and go. Once a player has received their starting chips that is it for the tournament. Generally SNGs have fewer players than tournaments. SNGs can be single table or even heads up. Some player specialise in Sngs and prefer these over regular tournaments.
